5.3.09 - radiation mapping

the radiation mapping took less than half an hour. i was given three black permanent (teeny tiny dot) tattoos (it hurt!) and they ran me through the machine a few times and that was it. i start tomotherapy radiation on may 15th for 35 treatments, will be finished the end of the first week of july.

still no pain at all from the last taxol and neulasta, thanks to the oxycodone 5mg. smooth sailing.

Salut Deb! Just checking in on your SE's for this round...mine were the worst ever but now they've passed. I'll get my port out before I start rads so we'll see when that will be. Hope all is well...repose-toi bien xo G

Cool tats, lady.

I was considering getting the outline of my port tattooed once I'm all healed up.

Then again, I think I'd rather forget I ever had it in :p

dear gale, the oxycodone took care of any SEs! wish i had had this four months ago. no pain, no soreness from the taxol or neulasta--at all. still taking atarax 2x/day for the itching/neuropathy. still have numb fingers. so we made it, mon amie!! let me know when you start radiation. xoxo

dear armand, i like that idea of a tattoo on the outline of your port. i hope these tattoos are the only lasting physical memories we have of cancer. xoxox

Deborah, I'm glad cancer "got me," too. You're an inspiration.
